SPTechCon San Francisco 2011
Held from Feb. 7-9, 2011, SPTechCon San Francisco (www.SPTechCon.com) came within a pebbles-throw of 1,000 registrations – with a final count of 998. Paid conference registrations were up 15% over the previous SPTechCon San Francisco in 2010.
Ted Bahr, President of BZ Media, said “SPTechCon San Francisco was a surprisingly strong conference, especially coming so close on the heels of the record-breaking October 2010 Boston blowout. SPTechCon San Francisco had the industry’s largest independent dedicated exhibit hall of third party tools and solutions in the SharePoint market.”
The expo floor at SPTechCon San Francisco had 76 booths and 65 exhibitors – a 27% increase over the same conference in 2010.
Highlights of the conference’s three-day technical program included keynote addresses from Jared Spataro, Director, SharePoint Server at Microsoft, and Joel Oleson, Senior Product Manager, Quest Software. SPTechCon had more than 90 workshops and technical classes, as well as Lightning Talks, and more. New to SPTechCon San Francisco, but now an SPTechCon tradition, were book signings from dozens of book authors and Microsoft MVPs — who make up the bulk of the teaching faculty at the conference.
