SD Times Expands Commitment to News Analysis, Software Development Managers

SD Times adjusts frequency, format and circulation to focus on the key needs of its audience and the complementary relationship between print and the Internet
HUNTINGTON, N.Y., DEC. 1, 2010 — BZ Media LLC today announced that Software Development Times – its flagship publication – is increasing its commitment to serving the needs of software development managers.

Launched in February 2000 as a tabloid-sized newspaper published twice per month, SD Times is shifting to a monthly publication frequency, and adjusting to a standard magazine-size format printed on a high-quality glossy paper.

BZ Media is also increasing SD Times’ circulation by 8.3% to 65,000. The new frequency, format and circulation of SD Times takes effect as of the January 2011 issue.

Alan Zeichick, Editorial Director of SD Times, said, “When we launched SD Times in February 2000, it was as the first-ever newspaper of record for the software development industry. Being a newspaper meant that we needed to publish often; the twice-monthly frequency was perfect for getting readers the news without overburdening their mailbox.”
