BZ Media LLC is a privately held, high-tech media company based in Huntington NY on Long Island’s beautiful north shore. BZ Media was founded in 1999 by veterans from Miller Freeman, CMP, IDG, Newsday and Ziff-Davis.

BZ Media's flagship publication is SD Times, the first and only newspaper for software development managers.

SD Times launched in February 2000 and currently has more than 60,000 subscribers in more than 130 countries. BZ Media pioneered the distribution of digital versions of print publications, and SD Times was the first-ever publication to receive a combined digital and print circulation audit from BPA International (Dec. 2001). More companies run display ads in SD Times than in any other software development publication.

In 2004, BZ Media launched Software Test & Performance, a monthly magazine focused on testing and software performance issues. ST&P reaches more than 25,000 software development managers, project and team leaders, and Test & QA managers.

BZ Media's newest launch is Systems Management News, the twice-monthly newspaper for managers responsible for data centers, IT operations and systems administration. The first issue of Systems Management News is set for April 15, 2008, with a circulation of 40,000 qualified subscribers.

In addition to print and digital publications, BZ Media produces technical conferences such as EclipseWorld, the Software Test & Performance Conference and FutureTest 2008.

A division of BZ Media, BZ Research produces in depth studies covering adoption, use and awareness in specific markets including Microsoft .NET, Java, Eclipse, Databases, SCM/Defect Tracking/Build Management, AJAX and more.

Electronic newsletters such as SD Times’ News on Monday/Thursday are sent twice per week to more than 70,000 subscribers, while more than 40,000 subscribers receive the Test & QA Report each week. In 2005, BZ Media acquired the EclipseSource newsletter and Web properties from Penton Media, now published biweekly. With the launch of Systems Management News, BZ Media will also debut Systems Management Week, a weekly e-newsletter.
