First Web Hosting Study
October 2007
Methodology
An e-mail was delivered to 15,000 randomly selected subscribers to SD Times inviting them to participate in a study on web hosting. Excluding bounces, the net number of surveys delivered was 14,896.
The purpose was to determine where SD Times reader companies host the sites that their developers create internally and externally, and who makes the decision where sites are hosted.
The study was e-mailed on October 8, 2007, and cut off and tabulated by BZ Research on October 12, 2007. A total of 207 subscribers, or 1.4% of the respondents, completed the survey, although not all of them answered every question. No incentive was used.
BZ Research designed, conducted and tabulated the study. BZ Research is a division of BZ Media, publisher of SD Times.
