Fifth Database and Data Access, Integration and Reporting Study
July 2007

Methodology

An e-mail was sent to 20,000 randomly selected subscribers to SD Times inviting them to participate in a study on databases, data access, integration and reporting. Excluding bounces, the net number of surveys delivered was 19,844. No incentive to fill out the survey questionnaire was used. The purpose of the study was to ascertain the use and interconnectivity of database products as well as tools used for data access, data integration and data reporting. Another objective was to measure the general awareness of the vendors in these market spaces. The study was e-mailed on June 17, 2007, and cut off and tabulated by BZ Research on June 23, 2007. A total of 686 subscribers, or 3.46% of the respondents completed the survey, although not all of them answered every question.

BZ Research designed, conducted and tabulated the study. BZ Research is a division of BZ Media, publisher of SD Times.
