BZ MEDIA ANNOUNCES KEY MEMBERS OF ITS EDITORIAL AND CIRCULATION TEAMS
Oyster Bay, N.Y., November 29, 1999 - BZ Media LLC today announced the hiring of three key staff members for its flagship SD Times, the twice-monthly newspaper of record for software development managers. SD Times will debut on February 23, 2000, with a circulation of 40,000 software-development managers. David Rubinstein, Executive News Editor, is tasked with building the newsroom and helping to shape the papers editorial policies. Mr. Rubinstein has more than 20 years of experience in the newspaper industry, having worked as a reporter and editor at several large general-circulation dailies. Mr. Rubinstein, who holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maryland, comes to SD Times from Newsday, the sixth-largest newspaper in the United States. Karen Bannan, Senior News Editor, joins SD Times after five years of reporting on the IT industry, most recently as a senior writer at Inter@ctive Week. She is currently completing her masters degree in magazine journalism at New York University. Ms. Bannan also has reported for PC Magazine and Computer Retail Week, covering industry news and trends. Rebecca Pappas, Director of Circulation and Manufacturing, brings more than 11 years of experience in publishing, most recently serving as associate publisher at Upper & Lower Case, The International Journal of Graphic Design and Digital Media in New York City.
