SD TIMES TO RECOGNIZE SOFTWARE INDUSTRY LEADERS,
INNOVATORS
First annual SD Times 100 to highlight the companies,
organizations, standards bodies and industry consortia that demonstrated
the greatest leadership in 2002

Media's SD Times, the newspaper for the software development industry,
today announced that its June 1, 2003 issue will contain the SD Times 100,
a ranking of the companies and organizations that demonstrated the
greatest innovation and leadership in the software development industry
over the previous year.
Alan Zeichick, co-founder and editor-in-chief of SD Times, said,
"There is a huge industry of tools and platform vendors innovating on
behalf of enterprise software developers. While every company is making a
vital contribution, the SD Times 100 looks to identify those which are
making the biggest difference by advancing the state of the art, setting
the agenda and demonstrating broad leadership in this critical
market."
The SD Times 100 will rank companies and organizations in the following
categories, which broadly reflect the software-development industry:
Modeling; Tools & Environments; Components & Libraries; Test &
Debug; Collaboration; Deployment Platforms; Integration & Middleware;
Database and Data Access; Embedded & Mobile; and Standard Bodies &
Consortia.
Nominations for the SD Times 100 officially opened on Monday, March 24,
and will close on Friday, April 18.
Companies are invited to visit the nomination
Web site to download a nomination form. To ensure fairness, entries
that are late or incomplete may not be accepted, and companies may only
enter once per category. Judging for the first annual SD Times 100 will be
conducted by the editors and writers of SD Times. |
