teamed up to present Developing Secure Applications: Web Application
Security - Attacks and Countermeasures, a special Web seminar taking
place on January 28, 2004 at 11 a.m. (Pacific Time).

Andrew Binstock, the educational presentation is designed to provide
software and application development managers and senior software
engineers with critical new insight into mitigating the threat of systems
attacks.
“Development managers at large enterprises are worried about software
security, and for good reason," said Alan Zeichick, editor-in-chief of SD
Times. "From hacks and exploits by malicious individuals seeking to damage
corporate assets, to the very real threats of data- and
intellectual-property theft, these issues must be addressed. We are
pleased to be working with DevelopMentor on this important Web seminar."
Key strategies and countermeasures required to develop secure
applications will be covered, in addition to simulated attacks that exploit
security holes unknowingly written into code by developers. Specific threats
caused by using SQL injection and cross site scripting will be specifically
addressed, as these are common vulnerabilities are found across all types of
web-based applications.
Binstock is a contributing editor for SD Times and principal analyst of
