BZ Media to Launch
Embedded Software Development Conference
New conference and exhibition focused on software and applications developers in the fast-growing embedded, mobile and wireless markets

Oyster Bay, N.Y., March 30, 2004 - BZ Media LLC today announced the first annual Embedded Software Development Conference, scheduled for August 17-19, 2004, at the DoubleTree Hotel, San Jose, Calif.
The Embedded Software Development Conference (ESDC) is the only independent, cross-platform conference completely focused on the educational needs of embedded, mobile and wireless developers. The event will include more than 40 individual conference sessions and full-day tutorials covering applications development using Java 2 Micro Edition, Windows CE, Embedded Linux, Palm OS, BREW, VxWorks and other high-level embedded operating systems.
Ted Bahr, President of BZ Media, said, "The Embedded Software Development Conference is filling a tremendous need in the developer industry. While some electronics megashows have a few classes on embedded topics, no other event is 100 percent focused on helping embedded developers, engineers and project managers build better software and applications."
Bahr added, "Our expert teachers, drawn from the field's top practitioners, will provide the essential skills that they need in order to maximize the functionality of their software, meet project schedules, save money and make informed choices regarding new and emerging technology."
The three-day Embedded Software Development Conference (www.esdevcon.com), to be held in the heart of Silicon Valley in San Jose, Calif., will include an exhibition hall. More than 40 leading exhibitors are expected to show their platforms, tools, libraries and other products.
The Embedded Software Development Conference is expected to draw more than 500 attendees for the educational program of tutorials and technical classes, as well as exhibits-only visitors.
Prospective instructors may view the Call for Speakers at www.esdevcon.com/speakers.htm. The deadline for class proposals is May 3, 2004. Vendors can download the exhibitor prospectus at www.esdevcon.com/exhibitors.htm, or can contact Ted Bahr at +1 631-421-4158 x101 or ted@bzmedia.com to discuss sponsorship opportunities and booth availability.

Since its first issue in February 2000, SD Times has offered dedicated editorial coverage of embedded and wireless development news.
