Software Development Conference
New conference and exhibition is focused
on software engineers and embedded developers

Oyster Bay, N.Y., June 3, 2004 - BZ Media
LLC today announced the class and tutorial lineup for the first annual
Embedded Software
Development Conference, scheduled for August 17-19, 2004, at the
DoubleTree Hotel, San Jose, Calif.
Registration for the event is now open for attendees,
with Early Bird pricing available through July 9, 2004.
The Embedded Software Development Conference will
feature more than 50 classes and tutorials on the practical implementation
of embedded development best practices. The event expects to draw close to
500 attendees in its first year.
Ted Bahr, president of BZ Media LLC, which is producing
the event, said, "Modern embedded systems projects are dominated by
software development. After studying the market and the needs of embedded
developers, we determined that there is a need for an education-focused
event dedicated to embedded software development."

Technical classes on hot topics including embedded
security, software testing, Extreme Programming and leading edge tutorials
on Windows Embedded, J2ME and Embedded Linux will help prepare attendees for
the next generation of embedded design.
Donna Esposito, director of events for the Embedded
Software Development Conference, said, "We built a high-quality technical
conference with the best minds in embedded development to bring this
community together."
Among the more than two dozen speakers are Larry
Constantine, a pioneer in the study of user-centric systems design; Stephen
J. Mellor, widely considered the co-founder of structured design; and
Michael Barr, author of two of the most popular books on embedded
development as well as the former editor of Embedded Systems Programming
Magazine.
The Embedded Software Development Conference has achieved
wide-spread industry support. Media sponsors include Electronic Design
Magazine, Electronic Products Magazine, Wireless Systems Design Magazine,
RTC Magazine, EE Product News, Embedded 365, Planet EE, IQ Magazine, Intel
Developers Quarterly and the COTS Journal.
Bahr said, "It's gratifying to see the broad range of
support for this event, which further demonstrates the compelling need for a
conference focused on the specific needs of embedded software developers."
The conference is also supported by BZ Media's own SD
Times and Software Test & Performance Magazines.
