Huntington, N.Y., August 10, 2005 - BZ Media LLC,
publishers of SD Times, today announced the dates for the Software Security Conference™
2006, the premier technical conference for
software developers and IT professionals charged with ensuring the
security of enterprise applications inside the firewall. The Software Security Summit 2006
will be held Feb. 6-8, 2006, at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla in San
Diego, Calif.
Alan Zeichick, Editor-in-Chief of SD Times and Conference
Chairman of the Software Security Summit 2006, said, "Software security is
becoming a bigger issue every year, and that's why we're building on the
success of the first-ever Software Security Summit. We'll have more classes,
more tutorials, more technical information to help software developers and
IT professionals improve the security of the software that they're building,
and also manage the security of the software they already own."
The debut Software Security Summit was held this past
April in San Diego. Keynote speakers at the first conference were Amit
Yoran, former Cyber Security Czar, U.S. Department of Homeland Security;
Dr. James A. Whittaker, Chief Scientist, Security Innovation Inc.;
and Mary Ann Davidson, Chief Security Officer, Oracle Corp. The
keynote speakers for the 2006 conference have not yet been announced.
The Software Security Summit 2006 will consist of one full
day of tutorials and two days of technical classes. More than 400 attendees
are expected at this exclusive conference. In addition to the technical
classes, 30 sponsors are expected to demonstrate their security products and
services in the conference's expo hall.
Zeichick also announced that the Call for Speakers for the
conference is now open, with proposals being accepted through Sept. 2,
2005. Details regarding speaking proposals are available at
