SD Times Debuts Column on Service-Oriented Architecture

Top industry expert David S. Linthicum will cover all aspects of SOA, from research and planning to deployment and management

Huntington, N.Y., June 14, 2007 — BZ Media LLC today announced that its flagship newspaper, SD Times, is launching a new column on service-oriented architecture. SOA Watch, to debut in the July 1, 2007, issue of SD Times, will be written by David S. Linthicum, one of the industry’s best-respected experts on SOA.

BZ Media’s SD Times, launched in 2000, is the twice-monthly newspaper of record for the software development industry. SD Times is available in print, in a digital edition, and online at SDTimes.com .

Mr. Linthicum, who not only talks the talk but walks the walk every day as a SOA consultant and expert, is principal of the Linthicum Group (www.linthicumgroup.com), a consulting organization dedicated to excellence in SOA implementation and strategy. He is the former CEO of BridgeWerx, and the former CTO of Mercator Software, SAGA software and others.

Mr. Linthicum has also taught computer science and written 10 books, including the groundbreaking “Enterprise Application Integration” (Addison-Wesley, 1999) and the best-selling “Next Generation Application Integration: From Simple Information to Web Services” (Addison-Wesley, 2003). His next book, “12 Steps to SOA,” is due to be published later this year.
