Robert Martin and David Intersimone To Keynote
EclipseWorld 2007

October 10, 2007 — BZ Media LLC today announced three special
keynote presentations at
EclipseWorld™ 2007,
the independent Eclipse conference for enterprise IT developers.
EclipseWorld 2007 will be held November 6–8, 2007, in Reston, Va.
The opening keynote address will be by Robert Martin,
a leading authority on software projects and object-oriented programming.
The former editor of the C++ Report, today he is one of the software
industry’s leading authorities on agile software development and is a
regular speaker at international conferences and trade shows.
Mr. Martin is the founder, CEO and president of Object
Mentor Inc. In the last 35 years, he has worked in various capacities on
hundreds of software projects. He has authored landmark books on agile
programming, Extreme Programming, UML, object-oriented programming and C++
programming, and has published dozens of articles in various trade journals.
The second keynote speaker at EclipseWorld 2007 is
David Intersimone, arguably the best-known evangelist for software
developers in the world. “David I,” as he is known, is Vice President,
Developer Relations and Chief Evangelist for CodeGear, a subsidiary of
Borland Software Corp. Responsible for working closely with the developer
community, Mr. Intersimone is a long-standing champion of software
developers and the importance of their role in the industry.
EclipseWorld 2007 will also host a special keynote panel
called “Total Eclipse,” featuring Mr. Martin, Mr. Intersimone and Mike
Milinkovich, Executive Director of the Eclipse Foundation. Moderated by
Alan Zeichick, Conference Chairman of EclipseWorld 2007, this panel
will examine the past, present and future of Eclipse: what makes it so
successful, where the community and technology are heading, and what’s
coming down the road. This is a unique conversation that conference
attendees won’t want to miss.
EclipseWorld, owned and produced by BZ Media, attracted
more than 600 attendees to its second annual conference, held in Cambridge,
Mass., in September 2006. For 2007, EclipseWorld moves to a larger facility,
the Hyatt Regency Reston, just outside of Washington, D.C.
