EclipseWorld 2007 Spotlights Europa!
Technical classes and tutorials focus on the Eclipse Foundation’s 21
new and updated projects.

Huntington, N.Y., October 15, 2007 — BZ Media LLC today announced a special focus on Europa — the newest, hottest parts of the Eclipse ecosystem — at EclipseWorld™ 2007, the independent Eclipse conference for enterprise IT developers. EclipseWorld 2007 will be held November 6–8, 2007, in Reston, Va.
EclipseWorld 2007 is the first U.S.-based Eclipse event to follow the Eclipse Foundation’s groundbreaking coordinated release of 21 projects. Code-named “Europa,” the June 2007 simultaneous release encompassed both new and updated projects:
• AspectJ Development Tools (AJDT) v1.5
• Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) v2.2
• Buckminster v0.1
• C/C++ Development Tools (CDT) v4.0
• Data Tools Platform (DTP) v1.5
• Device Software Development Platform - Device Debugging (DSDP.DD) v0.9
• Device Software Development Platform - Target Management (DSDP.TM) v2.0
• Dynamic Languages Toolkit (DLTK) v1.0
• Dash (Eclipse Monkey) v1.0
• Eclipse Communication Framework (ECF) v1.0
• Eclipse Platform, JDT, PDE and Equinox v3.3

• Test & Performance Tools Platform (TPTP) v4.4
• Web Tools Platform (WTP) v2.0
Numerous classes and tutorials at EclipseWorld 2007 focus especially on the new Eclipse projects that appeared for the first time with the Europa release. Other classes help attendees understand enhancements and changes to the Europa projects, and how to leverage the new capabilities throughout the software development life cycle.
Alan Zeichick, conference chairman of EclipseWorld 2007, said, “The Europa simultaneous release offered software developers unprecedented features and functionality. Whether they’re coding in Java or C++, developing business intelligence or embedded applications, the Eclipse tool chain is stronger than ever. When you look at the number of classes at EclipseWorld 2007 that encompass Europa, there’s no better place to learn how to use Eclipse than at EclipseWorld 2007.”
EclipseWorld, owned and produced by BZ Media, attracted more than 600 attendees to its second annual conference, held in Cambridge, Mass., in September 2006. For 2007, EclipseWorld moves to a larger facility, the Hyatt Regency Reston, just outside of Washington, D.C.
EclipseWorld 2007 will have an exhibition hall, and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Companies interested in sponsorships are encouraged to contact Donna Esposito, events director, at +1-415-785-3419 or desposito@bzmedia.com, for additional information about reaching more than 800 enterprise IT Eclipse tools buyers at EclipseWorld 2007.
