FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BZ Media to Launch
Systems Management News
Industry newspaper to bring timely news
and analysis to managers responsible for data centers, IT operations and
systems administration.

Huntington, N.Y.,
December 3, 2007 — BZ Media LLC, publisher of SD Times, today
announced Systems
Management News, the Industry Newspaper for IT Systems Administration
and Data Center Managers.
While
there are many technical magazines written for systems administrators, BZ
Media’s Systems Management News is the first newspaper for their managers
and department heads.
Managers in charge of operations, data centers, storage,
mail & messaging, database, IT operations and other systems administration
departments require news and analysis to understand what’s happening in the
field, and what it means. Systems Management News will provide the technical
content and industry context necessary to make informed decisions about
products, methodologies and practices that can affect their enterprise.
Systems Management News will be published in the same
10x13-inch tabloid format used by BZ Media’s SD Times, the Industry
Newspaper for Software Development Managers. The new publication will be
published twice each month, beginning on April 15, 2008. It will be
accompanied by a Web portal with daily breaking news,
www.SysManNews.com.
BZ Media will also produce a weekly e-newsletter, Systems
Management Week, to serve this fast-growing market.
Ted Bahr, President of BZ Media and Publisher of Systems
Management News, said, “It is important that Systems Management News
appear as a print newspaper. Despite the media hype around Web-based
publishing, our successful experience with SD Times demonstrates that
readers and advertisers prefer the type of news analysis, synthesis and
insight that is best delivered in print. The twice-per-month frequency is
perfect for delivering the Big Picture View that working IT managers need.
Monthly publications can’t be timely, and weekly publications are
overwhelming for busy IT managers and too expensive for advertisers.”
The circulation of Systems Management News will be 40,000
fully qualified, individual request subscribers as of the April 15, 2008,
debut issue. The newspaper will offer a full complement of print, online and
lead-generation opportunities for marketers, including white papers,
webinars, banner advertising and micro-site portals, beginning in April
2008.
Bahr said, “Using the controlled circulation expertise
at BZ Media, we will hand-select a qualified readership responsible for
managing systems administration, data centers, mail & messaging, storage,
database administration and IT operations at their company. Our qualified
readership will have involvement in purchasing enterprise products, tools,
platforms and services used by systems administration, data centers and IT
operations departments.”
Advertising rates begin at US$5,995 for a 1x
black-and-white page. An attractive Charter Rate Program will be available,
along with combined-frequency discounts for advertisers in BZ Media’s other
print properties, SD Times and Software Test & Performance. Prospective
advertisers can contact Ted Bahr, Publisher, at
ted@bzmedia.com or +1-631-421-4158 x101
to discuss rates and programs.
