Experienced Team to Launch Twice-Monthly Systems
Management News
BZ Media’s latest newspaper brings
together experienced ad-sales and editorial leaders from the high-tech
industry

Huntington, N.Y.,
March 10, 2008 — BZ Media LLC today announced the advertising
sales team and editorial leadership for
Systems Management News,
the Industry Newspaper for IT Systems Administration and Data Center
Managers.
Systems Management News is a twice-monthly, tabloid-size
IT newspaper. The premiere issue will be published on April 15, 2008, and
then on the 1st and 15th of each month thereafter. The publication follows
the successful model of BZ Media’s SD Times, which was recognized as the
fastest-growing IT publication of 2007 by Media Business Magazine.
The newspaper’s executive publishing team will consist of
Ted Bahr, Publisher, and Alan Zeichick, Editorial Director.
Bahr and Zeichick are the founders of BZ Media, and each has more than 20
years experience at companies like Ziff-Davis, IDG and Miller Freeman.
The Systems Management News advertising sales team is:
Catherine McConville, Western Sales Manager. Most
recently an Account Director with the Reatrix Media Network, McConville has
held sales positions at ValueClick and Ziff-Davis on Corporate Computing.
She was Associate Publisher of Miller Freeman’s Software Development
Magazine and has also worked as National Accounts Director at IDG’s
InfoWorld and National Accounts Manager at CMP’s Information Week.
Michele Guido, Southeast Sales Manager. Guido was
most recently National Sales Manager for ARCHI-TECH Magazine, a publication
for architects applying leading-edge technology in commercial designs. She
has also worked for McGraw-Hill, Imagine Publishing, Werner, and Bobit
Publishing on digital photography and consumer electronics magazines.
Brenner Fuller, Northeast Sales Manager. Fuller
most recently sold for Small Times, a PennWell magazine about
nanotechnology. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at CMP on Dr. Dobb’s
Journal in sales and as Associate Publisher. Fuller also worked on CMP’s
Software Development Magazine. Before joining CMP, he worked for Personal
Selling Power magazine and spent 8 years in ad sales and as an Associate
Publisher at IDG.
Systems Management News’ editorial team is led by David
Rubinstein, Editor-in-Chief. Rubinstein most recently served as
Editor-in-Chief of BZ Media’s SD Times, and had been with the newspaper
since its launch in 2000. Prior to joining BZ Media, Rubinstein had been
Deputy Editor of the Long Island edition of Newsday. He also serves as an
Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University.
Ted Bahr, President of BZ Media and Publisher of Systems
Management News, said, “While there are a number of magazines written for
e-mail, storage, database and other hard-working systems administration
staff, Systems Management News is the first publication for their managers.
Those managers need news analysis to understand what’s happening in their
field and what it means – the type of timely, context-rich information that
is not effectively communicated on the Internet or discovered by search
engines. Now, we have the sales and editorial team to serve this the
marketplace!”
Systems Management News will be accompanied by a Web
portal with daily news, and by a weekly e-newsletter, Systems Management
Week, to serve the fast-growing market. Initial circulation is 40,000.
Charter rates are less than $4,000 for a 10x13-inch 4-color ad page.
