FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Enterprise Software Development Conference Comes to the San Francisco Bay Area in March 2010
Filling a void in the industry, BZ Media launches a new technology event for enterprise developers and development managers

Huntington, N.Y., July 6, 2009 — BZ Media LLC today announced the launch of the Enterprise Software Development Conference™, for IT professionals who design, code, build, deploy and manage software for their business.
The three-day conference will take place at the San Mateo Marriott, San Mateo, Calif., from Mar. 1-3, 2010.
The Enterprise Software Development Conference (www.Go-ESDC.com) will offer one day of intensive workshops, followed by two days of technical classes. The conference will include an exhibit floor. More than 500 software development managers, architects and senior developers are projected to attend ESDC™.
The new conference fills a void left by the cancellation of TechWeb’s SD West conference. Produced annually each spring for many years, TechWeb announced after its March 2009 conference in Santa Clara that the event would not be continued.
ESDC is owned, produced and managed by BZ Media LLC, which publishes SD Times, the newspaper for the software development industry. BZ Media also produces SPTechCon: The SharePoint Technology Conference.
Ted Bahr, President of BZ Media, said, “We are excited to be launching the Enterprise Software Development Conference. While there are some niche events dedicated to specific platforms, methodologies, or programming languages, there is no longer an event that covers the whole software development life cycle.”
Assembling the ESDC educational program will be Alan Zeichick, Executive Vice-President of BZ Media, a recognized software development expert and technology analyst, and David Rubinstein, Editor-in-Chief of SD Times.
Zeichick said, “The Enterprise Software Development Conference will bring together an outstanding faculty with the best experts and the best instructors in enterprise software development. Conference attendees will get the finest available technical education – not only in the classroom, but also by mixing and mingling with the faculty and their peers between classes. If there’s one technology conference developers should attend next year, it’s ESDC.”
Many of the conference's workshops and classes will focus on agile software development. With the tag line, “Be Agile!”, ESDC will have sessions that help attendees evaluate agile methodologies, move their organizations toward being more agile, and fine-tine their expertise with eXtreme Programming, Scrum and other agile methods.
Special events at ESDC will include keynote speeches, an “Ask the Expert” booth staffed by conference faculty, and ”ESDC MythBlasters,” a fun-filled competition hosted by a technology analyst wearing a black beret.
The Enterprise Software Development Conference will also have a product exhibition hall, featuring 30+ of the most innovative software development solutions vendors.
