Mike Lee, Aaron Hillegass to Keynote iPhone/iPad DevCon, September 2010, San Diego

World toughest programmer, top Mac industry influencer to address key audience of mobile app developers, marketers

HUNTINGTON, N.Y., MAY 21, 2010 — BZ Media LLC today announced the keynote addresses and technical program for iPhone/iPad DevCon™. The three-day conference will take place in San Diego from Sept. 27-29, 2010.

The conference program at iPhone/iPad DevCon includes more than 40 full-day workshops, half-day workshops and technical classes over three days – in addition to keynotes by Mike Lee and Aaron Hillegass.

Mike Lee, who refers to himself as “the world's toughest programmer,” is the founder and CEO of United Lemur, which he describes as a philanthropic revolution disguised as a software company. Mr. Lee also cofounded Tapulous, whose popular game titles include Tap Tap Revenge and Twinkle. Prior to the launch of the iPhone, Mr. Lee won an Apple Design Award at Seattle-based Delicious Monster Software.

Aaron Hillegass is the CEO of Big Nerd Ranch. After joining MITRE Corp.’s Advanced Signal Processing Lab at age 19, he held a number of positions, including at Tower Eiffel and NeXT. In 2000, at Apple Computer, Mr. Hillegass was asked to teach Apple engineers how to write apps for Mac OS X. In 2007, MacTech Magazine named Mr. Hillegass one of the top 25 most influential people in the Mac community.

iPhone/iPad DevCon is an important educational resource for anyone building or selling iPhone apps. The focused, more conference is designed so that all iPhone app developers, marketers and entrepreneurs can attend — and can even bring their entire development team, thanks to special group discounts.
More than 300 software developers, enterprise IT professionals, “indie” entrepreneurs and marketers are projected to attend iPhone/iPad DevCon.

iPhone/iPad DevCon is owned, produced and managed by BZ Media LLC, which publishes SD Times, the newspaper for the software development industry. BZ Media also produces SPTechCon: The SharePoint Technology Conference..

Alan Zeichick, Conference Chairman of iPhone/iPad DevCon and Editorial Director of SD Times, said, “It’s the new gold rush! Forget panning for yellow metal in California streams, the real money is to be made in writing and selling applications for Apple’s mobile platforms, such as the iPhone, the iPod touch and the new iPad tablet. Hundreds of developers and marketers will get their training this fall at iPhone/iPad DevCon."

iPhone/iPad DevCon will also have a tabletop expo area, where companies can demonstrate their products and services for iPhone developers. For more information on exhibiting, please contact Dan Gaiman, +1-646-454-0932, dgaiman@bzmedia.com
