SharePoint Technology Conference offers 80+ classes and workshops, many focused on the just-released SharePoint 2010
HUNTINGTON, N.Y., MAY 21, 2010 — BZ Media LLC today announced the keynote speakers and technical program for SPTechCon™: The SharePoint Technology Conference Boston. The three-day conference will take place Oct. 20-22, 2010.
SPTechCon Boston offers more than 80 full-day workshops, half-day workshops and technical classes for IT professionals, SharePoint administrators, SharePoint developers and information workers.
The keynote speakers at SPTechCon Boston will be Steve Fox and Bill English, two of the best-known and most-respective experts in the SharePoint community.
Steve Fox, Microsoft Senior Evangelism Manager for the Developer and Platform Group, has worked in IT for over fifteen years. For ten of those years he has worked at Microsoft in the areas of natural language, search, and more recently SharePoint and Office development in the Developer and Platform Evangelism group.
Dr. Fox regularly speaks to developers worldwide and has contributed to numerous technical books and articles. Recent titles include “Microsoft SharePoint 2007 Development using Silverlight 2,” “Microsoft .NET and SAP” and the forthcoming “Beginning SharePoint 2010 Development.” Dr. Fox received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington, with a focus on social computing.
Bill English is a Microsoft MVP for SharePoint Server, and is a founder of English, Bleeker and Associates, a training and consulting company for SharePoint products and technologies that is known today as Mindsharp.
A well-known author and trainer, Mr. English has written or co-written many books on SharePoint Portal Server, including “SharePoint Products and Technologies Resource Kit,” “Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Best Practices” and “Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Administrator.”
Mr. English has been training people and consulting on Microsoft technologies for almost 20 years.
The SPTechCon keynote speakers lead an expert faculty offering more than 80 courses covering all aspects of SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010. Many of the SPTechCon speakers are from Microsoft; others are Microsoft MVPs, who are independent experts awarded the Most Valuable Professional designation by Microsoft to recognize their outstanding expertise and many community contributions. Most of the faculty are top-rated SPTechCon veterans, with new speakers added to share their expertise and voices.
